On Saturday, the Middle Tenn. Blue Raiders were out to avenge their 37-35 defeat to the UTSA Roadrunners from their previous meeting last September, but they had no such luck. The Blue Raiders took a 27-13 hit to the loss column. They haven't found any success against UTSA since Nov. 28 of 2015, this loss making it three in a row.
Middle Tenn.'s overall record fell to 1-2. UTSA's win brought them up to 3-0.
Middle Tenn. is staying on the road next Friday to face off against the Charlotte 49ers at 6:30 p.m. ET Sept. 24 at Jerry Richardson Stadium. Charlotte also suffered a recent loss, falling 13-9 to the Georgia State Panthers on Saturday. As for the Roadrunners, they will face off against the Memphis Tigers at 3:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at Liberty Bowl Memorial. Like UTSA, Memphis is also coming into the matchup bolstered by a recent victory.
