Utah vs. Colorado Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game

Halftime Report

Utah fell flat on their face against Arizona last Saturday, but memory of that harsh defeat doesn't seem to have tripped them up today. After two quarters, neither squad has the game in the bag, but Utah leads 13-10 over Colorado. This contest is far closer than the pair's previous matchup, which was decided by 42 points.

If Utah keeps playing like this, they'll bump their record up to 8-4 in no time. On the other hand, Colorado will have to make due with a 4-8 record unless they turn things around (and fast).

Preview

Considering their sizable disadvantage in the spread, Colorado can expect to have a real challenge on their hands on Saturday. They will head out on the road to face off against the Utah Utes at 3:00 p.m. ET at Rice-Eccles Stadium. Colorado is limping into the game on a five-game losing streak.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 56-14, which was the final score in Colorado's tilt against Washington State on Friday. Colorado has not had much luck with Washington State recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Utah gave up the first points and the most points on Saturday. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of a 42-18 punch to the gut against Arizona. Utah has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Bryson Barnes, who threw for 320 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Devaughn Vele, who picked up 111 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Colorado has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Utah, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Not only did the two teams lose their last games, but neither team managed to cover the spread. Looking forward, the game looks promising for Utah, as the team is favored by a full 22 points. For those looking to play the spread, take note: they are a solid 4-1 against the spread when playing as the favorites at home.

Colorado was pulverized by Utah 63-21 in their previous meeting back in November of 2022. Can Colorado avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
