Utah State will be in front of their home fans on Friday, but a look at the spread shows they might need that home-field advantage. They will take on the Fresno State Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. ET on Friday. Unlike Utah State, Fresno State will be stumbling in from a loss.
Last Saturday, Utah State's game was all tied up 17-17 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They put the hurt on Colorado State with a sharp 44-24 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Utah State.
Utah State got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Davon Booth out in front who rushed for 141 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. Utah State also got help from Micah Davis who showed off his sure hands for 104 receiving yards.
After a string of 14 wins dating back to last season, Fresno State's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell to Wyoming 24-19. The loss was Fresno State's first of the season.
The win got Utah State back to even at 3-3. Fresno State's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-1.
Looking ahead, Fresno State is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by seven points. This contest will be their sixth straight as the favorites (so far over this stretch they are 2-3 against the spread).
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's match: The Aggies have been unstoppable in the air this season, having averaged 296 passing yards per game.
