LSU takes the field on Saturday for the first time since Brian Kelly was fired, and while much of the speculation around the program surrounds who will be the next head coach, the Tigers still have a season to worry about. They'll travel to No. 4 Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

The SportsLine model is projecting LSU to hang with Alabama and cover as a 10.5-point underdog as one of its Saturday best bets at FanDuel Sportsbook. Many teams rally following a coach's firing, and LSU still has some of the best talent in the nation, leading the model to value the Tigers getting more than a touchdown. The model's Saturday best bets at FanDuel also include backing Iowa State as a 7.5-point underdog against TCU, along with Over 48.5 total points scored for Texas A&M vs. Missouri. Over 48.5 points in Missouri vs. Texas A&M (-108)

The Aggies have the No. 7 scoring offense in the nation, averaging 37.8 ppg this season. Texas A&M is coming off a 49-point performance in its victory over Brian Kelly in his final game as LSU head coach, and it was its fifth 40-point performance in an 8-0 start to the season to climb to No. 3 in the nation. Missouri has a capable offense of its own, averaging 31.7 ppg this season, while ranking 16th in scoring defense at 18.3 ppg this season. Missouri hasn't faced a top 10 scoring offense this season, though, so this will be a daunting challenge for the unit against Marcel Reed quarterbacking the Aggies' offense. The model projects the Over to hit in 58% of simulations. Back the Over at FanDuel Sportsbook:

Iowa State +7.5 vs. TCU (-110)

Iowa State's season has been a tale of two streaks, opening the year with a five-game winning streak before going on its current four-game losing skid to fall to 5-4 on the season. The Cyclones reached as high as No. 12 in the nation, and they still have the talent that opened at 5-0 with wins over teams including Kansas State, Iowa and Arizona. Junior quarterback Rocco Becht has thrown for 2,119 yards this season, but his seven interceptions, including at least one over each of the last three weeks, have gotten him in trouble. But if he can eliminate the turnovers, Iowa State can cover this number against a TCU that does enter off back-to-back victories, but neither of those wins came by more than six points. The model projects Iowa State to cover in 62% of simulations. Back Iowa State at FanDuel Sportsbook:

LSU +10.5 vs. Alabama (-110)

LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier was in the Heisman Trophy conversation earlier in the season for the Tigers. Now, he's fighting to maintain his starting job. Interim coach Frank Wilson said Nussmeier will start, but he also said backup Michael Van Buren Jr. has seen more time in practice, and that could lead to a role in the game. Sometimes there's nothing like legitimate competition to bring the best out of top athletes, and the model expects LSU offensive success regardless on Saturday. If Nussmeier gets off to a fast start, he could keep the sophomore at bay for at least the week, and he'll certainly be motivated to do that. The model projects LSU to cover in 62% of simulations. Back LSU at FanDuel Sportsbook:
