USC vs. Utah: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the USC vs. Utah football game
Game Recap
After losing to the USC Trojans the last time they met, the Utah Utes decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Utah captured a comfortable 42-26 win on Saturday. This was the most points they've scored all season.
The game started off well for the Utes, whose offense put up 21 first-half points. USC wasn't quite able to keep up, and the score was 21-10 heading into the break. The offense for Utah continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 21 points to put the game away.
Utah's QB Cameron Rising was on fire, passing for three TDs and 306 yards on 28 attempts in addition to punching in one rushing touchdown. That was the first 300+ yard effort for Rising this season. Utah also got a significant boost from RB Tavion Thomas, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 113 yards.
USC's loss came about despite a quality game from WR Drake London, who caught 16 passes for one TD and 162 yards.
The victory bumped the Utes' record up to 3-2. The loss dropped the Trojans back to even at 3-3.
Utah will take on the Arizona State Sun Devils at 10 p.m. ET next Saturday at home. Utah will need a sterling offensive performance if they want to penetrate an unbending defense that has allowed an average of only 16.17 points per game. USC will have some time to rest before their next contest, which is against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at 7:30 p.m. ET in two weeks at Notre Dame Stadium.
