UNLV vs. Vanderbilt Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the UNLV vs. Vanderbilt football game
The UNLV Rebels will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the Vanderbilt Commodores at 7:00 p.m. ET at Allegiant Stadium. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
After soaring to 44 points the game before, UNLV faltered in their contest on Saturday. They was completely outmatched by Michigan on the road and fell 35-7. UNLV was in a tough position after the first half, with the score sitting at 21-0.
Nobody from UNLV had a standout game, but they still got scores from Jordan Younge-Humphrey.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, the Rebels had trouble moving the ball and finished the game with only 229 total yards. They were demolished by their opponents in that department as Michigan gained 492.
Meanwhile, Vanderbilt ended up a good deal behind Wake Forest on Saturday and lost 36-20. The loss put an end to Vanderbilt's undefeated season.
Despite their loss, Vanderbilt saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. QB AJ Swann, who threw for 314 yards and three touchdowns on 39 attempts, was perhaps the best of all. Swann set a new season high mark in passer rating with 149.4. WR London Humphreys did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 109 receiving yards.
Looking ahead, Vanderbilt is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by four points. Bettors picking them against the spread have some confidence (to put it mildly), as the team is sitting on a three-game streak of failing to cover.
UNLV will need to dig deep on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. They finished last season with a 7-5 record against the spread.
