UNLV vs. Hawaii Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the UNLV vs. Hawaii football game
The UNLV Rebels haven't won a game against the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors since Nov. 4 of 2017, but they'll be looking to end the drought on Saturday. UNLV and Hawaii will face off in a Mountain West battle at 4 p.m. ET at Allegiant Stadium. The Rebels will be strutting in after a win while the Rainbow Warriors will be stumbling in from a defeat.
UNLV beat the New Mexico Lobos 31-17 last week. WR Kyle Williams and RB Charles Williams were among the main playmakers for UNLV as the former caught seven passes for one TD and 137 yards and the latter punched in two rushing touchdowns. One of the most thrilling moments was Williams' 75-yard TD reception in the second quarter.
UNLV's defense was a presence as well, as it embarrassed New Mexico's offensive line to sack the quarterback eight times for a total loss of 40 yards. It was a group effort with seven guys contributing.
Meanwhile, the Rainbow Warriors came up short against the San Diego State Aztecs last week, falling 17-10. QB Chevan Cordeiro had a pretty forgettable game, throwing one interception with only 175 yards passing.
The Rebels are expected to lose this next one by 3.5. Those playing the odds have seen things go back and forth with UNLV, who are 4-3-1 against the spread.
UNLV is now 1-8 while Hawaii sits at 4-6. Two defensive stats to keep an eye on: UNLV is 239th worst in the nation in passing touchdowns allowed, with 22 on the season. The Rainbow Warriors have experienced some struggles of their own as they are stumbling into the contest with the 230th most touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up 37 on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
