The New Hamp. Wildcats will start their season against they. Kickoff is scheduled at 7:00 p.m. ET on Thursday at FBC Mortgage Stadium.
The upcoming contest will be a clash of competing strengths. New Hamp. has relied on air attacks this season and has averaged 308.3 passing yards per game. UCF, on the other hand, has relied on a stout run game: they average 233.2 rushing yards per game.
Looking back to last season, New Hamp. finished on the right side of .500 (6-5), and they're hoping to kick off an even more successful campaign this year. On the other hand, UCF wound up balanced, finishing 6-6.
New Hamp. must know they're fighting an uphill battle given the 41.5-point spread they're up against. They finished last season with a 6-4 record against the spread.
The disadvantage in the odds might be especially worrying for New Hamp. considering the team was a sub-par 1-2 as the underdog last season. A bettor who placed a $100 dollar bet on them to lose every one of the 11 games they played last year would have netted $613.67. UCF will open their season as the favorite, and the team was 5-3 as such last season.
