Tulsa vs. Rice updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Thursday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Tulsa vs. Rice football game
Rice has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. After each having a week off, the Rice Owls and the Tulsa Golden Hurricane will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 11:00 p.m. ET on October 19th at Skelly Field at H.A. Chapman Stadium. Coming off a loss in a game Rice was expected to win, they now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.
There was early excitement for Rice after they claimed the first score two weeks ago, but it was UConn who ended up claiming the real prize. Rice fell 38-31 to UConn. Rice got off to an early lead (up 14 with 0:33 left in the first quarter), but sadly they weren't able to maintain that momentum.
The losing side was boosted by Luke McCaffrey, who picked up 100 receiving yards and two touchdowns. JT Daniels also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought matchup, but Tulsa had to settle for a 20-17 loss against FAU two weeks ago.
The losing side was boosted by Braylon Braxton, who threw for 67 yards and a touchdown.
The losses dropped both teams to an identical 3-3.
