Tulsa vs. Oklahoma updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Tulsa vs. Oklahoma football game
Oklahoma haven't yet left their home-field this season, but they'll have to hit the road on Saturday. They will take on the Tulsa Golden Hurricane at 3:30 p.m. ET at Skelly Field at H.A. Chapman Stadium. Unlike Oklahoma, Tulsa will be limping in after taking a loss.
Last Saturday, Oklahoma didn't have too much trouble with SMU at home as they won 28-11.
QB Dillon Gabriel looked spectacular while leading his team to the win, throwing for 176 yards and four touchdowns on 27 attempts. RB Tawee Walker was another key contributor, rushing for 117 yards.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 42 points the game before, Tulsa faltered in their game on Saturday. They was pulverized by Washington 43-10.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, the Golden Hurricane wasn't very productive in the air and finished the game with only 150 passing yards. They were smoked by their opponents in that department as Washington passed for 454.
Looking ahead, the game looks promising for Oklahoma, as the team is favored by a full 27.5 points. They finished last season with a mediocre 4-8 record against the spread, so bettors beware.
Oklahoma ought to be happy about their advantage in the spread: the team was a solid 6-5 when favored last season. While their fans probably aren't happy about it, betting on the team to lose was the smart play last year, as bettors who put $100 on that outcome every game finished the season up $1,082.34. On the other hand, Tulsa was 1-5 as the underdog last season.
