Tulane vs. Tulsa: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Tulane vs. Tulsa football game
If the oddsmakers' predictions hold true, the near future looks bright for Tulane. They will be playing at home against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Benson Field at Yulman Stadium. Tulsa is crawling into this game hobbled by four consecutive losses, while Tulane will bounce in with seven consecutive wins.
Last Saturday, Tulane's game was all tied up 10-10 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past East Carolina 13-10.
Tulane got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Michael Pratt out in front who threw for 213 yards and a touchdown. Makhi Hughes and his 105 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Tulane's win.
Meanwhile, the point spread may have favored Tulsa last Saturday, but the final result did not. They took a 33-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Charlotte. Tulsa was up 17-0 in the second but couldn't hold on to the lead.
Tulsa's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Anthony Watkins, who rushed for 146 yards and a touchdown, and Cardell Williams who rushed for 51 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
Tulane's win was their ninth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 8-1. As for Tulsa, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
While only Tulane took care of their fans the last time they played, neither team managed to cover. As mentioned, Tulane is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 23 points. They are a gamble against the spread as they sit with a 3-6 ATS record.
Tulane strolled past Tulsa when the teams last played back in November of 2022 by a score of 27-13. Will Tulane repeat their success, or does Tulsa have a better game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
