Troy vs. Western Kentucky: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Troy vs. Western Kentucky football game
The Troy Trojans will be playing at home against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Larry Blakeney Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
The point spread favored Troy on Saturday, but luck did not. They fell just short of James Madison by a score of 16-14. The matchup was as close as the oddsmakers predicted, but Troy were the slight favorite coming in.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 52 points the game before, Western Kentucky faltered in their matchup on Saturday. They were dealt a punishing 63-10 defeat at the hands of Ohio State. Western Kentucky were in a tough position after the first half, with the score sitting at 42-10.
In addition to losing their last games, both Troy and Western Kentucky failed to cover the spread. Looking ahead, Troy are the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 3.5 points. Anyone thinking of taking them against the spread should keep this in mind: the team hasn't covered the last three times they've played Western Kentucky.
Troy beat Western Kentucky 34-27 in their previous matchup last October. Will Troy repeat their success, or do Western Kentucky have a better game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
