Troy vs. Louisiana updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Troy vs. Louisiana football game
Game Recap
On Saturday, the Troy Trojans were out to avenge their 53-3 loss to the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns from their previous meeting in November of 2019, but they had no such luck. Troy fell to Louisiana 35-21.
It was another big night for the Ragin' Cajuns' QB Levi Lewis, who passed for three TDs and 166 yards on 22 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 44 yards. Near the top of the highlight reel was Lewis' 52-yard TD bomb to WR Michael Jefferson in the first quarter. RB Chris Smith and his 102 yards on the ground were another key factor in Louisiana's victory.
No one had a standout game offensively for Troy, but they got scores from WR Tez Johnson and QB Taylor Powell.
The loss dropped Troy back to even at 5-5. The win bumped the Ragin' Cajuns' record up to 9-1.
The Trojans will stay at home against the Appalachian State Mountaineers at 3:30 p.m. ET Nov. 20 at Larry Blakeney Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium. Appalachian State is 5-2 after wins this season, and Troy is 3-1 after losses. Louisiana will hit the road for the second straight week as they head to Williams Stadium at 4 p.m. ET next Saturday. The Liberty Flames took a loss in their last game and are no doubt out to reverse Louisiana's good fortune.
