The Troy Trojans will be playing in front of their home fans against the James Madison Dukes at 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Larry Blakeney Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium. Troy is out to keep their nine-game home win streak alive.
Last Saturday, Troy was pulverized by Kansas State 42-13. Troy was down 28-10 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Meanwhile, James Madison must be getting used to good results now that the squad has five straight wins. They pulled ahead with a 36-35 photo finish over Virginia. Considering how many points were scored, both coaches might be spending a little more time focusing on defense before their next games.
James Madison can attribute much of their success to Jordan McCloud, who finished with 32 total yards and a touchdown, and Ty Son Lawton, who finished with 79 total yards and two touchdowns. Kaelon Black also helped out by posting a receiving touchdown.
Looking ahead, the game is expected to be close, with Troy going off as just a 3 point favorite. They finished last season with a stellar 10-3 record against the spread, so they might be worth a quick bet.
Troy ought to be happy about their advantage in the spread: the team was a perfect 8-0 when favored last season.
