Texas Tech vs. West Virginia: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Texas Tech vs. West Virginia football game
Game Recap
After flying high against the Kansas Jayhawks last week, the West Virginia Mountaineers came back down to earth. West Virginia fell to the Texas Tech Red Raiders 34-27. If the Mountaineers were hoping to take revenge for the 38-17 loss against Texas Tech when the teams met last November, then they were left disappointed.
Texas Tech QB Henry Colombi was slinging it as he passed for one TD and 169 yards on 28 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 40 yards.
The losing side was boosted by RB Leddie Brown, who punched in two rushing touchdowns.
The game brought the Red Raiders to 1-3 and dropped West Virginia to a mirror-image 3-1.
West Virginia will take on the Kansas State Wildcats at noon ET next Saturday at home. West Virginia is heading into an offensive buzzsaw as that squad is averaging 35 per contest. Texas Tech will play host again and welcome the Oklahoma Sooners to Jones AT&T Stadium, where kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET next Saturday. Texas Tech's defense better steel itself: Oklahoma is averaging 40 points per game.
