Texas A&M vs. South Carolina: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Texas A&M vs. South Carolina football game
Game Recap
The South Carolina Gamecocks typically have all the answers at home, but on Saturday the Texas A&M Aggies proved too difficult a challenge. The Aggies took their game against USC by a conclusive 44-14 score. This was the most points they've scored all season.
The contest started off well for A&M, whose offense put up 31 first-half points. Meanwhile, USC couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 31 to nothing heading into the break. A&M was outperformed in the second half 14-13 but had enough points saved up to walk away with the win.
A&M's RB Devon Achane did his thing and rushed for one TD and 154 yards on 20 carries. TE Jalen Wydermyer also deserves a shout-out for his two TDs.
Special teams collected 14 points for the Aggies. K Seth Small delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game. Ainias Smith's 95-yard punt return for touchdown should surely be counted as one of the game's standout moments.
No one had a standout game offensively for the Gamecocks, but they got scores from QB Jason Brown, RB MarShawn Lloyd, and TE Traevon Kenion.
A&M's win brought them up to 6-2. The loss dropped USC back to even at 4-4.
A&M will be hunkering down at home again for their matchup against the Auburn Tigers at 1 p.m. ET Nov. 6 at Kyle Field. USC will have some time to rest before their next matchup, which is against the Florida Gators at noon ET in two weeks at Williams-Brice Stadium.
