Live scores, highlights and updates from the Tennessee vs. Ole Miss football game
Game Recap
The Ole Miss Rebels didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup with the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 31-26 victory.
Ole Miss started the game off right with 24 first-half points. The Volunteers countered with 12 points. The Rebels coasted a bit in the second half, relying primarily on their first half lead, but they still walked away with the win.
QB Matt Corral had a stellar game for Ole Miss as he passed for two TDs and 231 yards on 38 attempts in addition to picking up 195 yards on the ground. RB Snoop Conner was in the mix, too, providing Ole Miss with two touchdowns.
The losing side was boosted by QB Hendon Hooker, who passed for one TD and 233 yards on 26 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 108 yards. That nimble footwork stands out as the first time Hooker has hit the 100-yard rushing mark this season.
Ole Miss' victory brought them up to 5-1. The loss dropped Tennessee's record to 4-3.
The Rebels will square off against the LSU Tigers at 3:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium at Hollingsworth Field. These teams both might be coming in a bit winded after having run the length of the field multiple times in their most recent games. As for the Volunteers, they will go up against the Alabama Crimson Tide at 7 p.m. ET next Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Bama is 4-1 after wins this season, and Tennessee is 2-0 after losses.
