The Akron Zips will head out on the road to face off against the Temple Owls at 2:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field.
Akron were ranked 110th in the nation in sacks last season, with 19 over the course of the season. Temple, on the other hand, had no problem: they finished last season ranked 13th with 38 in total.
Akron will need to dig deep on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. They finished last season with a 7-5 record against the spread.
That disadvantage in the odds might be especially worrying for Akron considering the team was a sub-par 1-10 as the underdog last season. A bettor who placed a $100 dollar bet on them to lose every one of the 12 games they played last year would have netted $985.37. Temple will open their season as the favorite, and the team was 2-0 as such last season.
