STAN vs. CAL updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Stanford vs. California football game
Game Recap
Their game last week wasn't at all kind to the California Golden Bears, but their most recent matchup may have softened the blow. On Saturday, they secured a 24-20 W over the Stanford Cardinal. For California, this is just revenge for the 23-13 loss they suffered against Stanford the last time they faced one another Dec. 1 of last year.
QB Chase Garbers didn't help the Golden Bears' cause all that much against the USC Trojans last week, but the same can't be said for this game. California Garbers was slinging it as he picked up 72 yards on the ground on 13 carries and accumulated 285 passing yards. The squad found extra help from defensive menace CB Camryn Bynum and his 11 tackles.
No one had a big game offensively for Stanford, but they got scores from RB Cameron Scarlett and WR Donald Stewart.
The Golden Bears are staying on the road next week, facing off against the UCLA Bruins at 10:30 p.m. ET at Rose Bowl. Unlike California, UCLA will be limping in after taking a loss. Stanford will be hunkering down at home again for their contest against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at 11:11 a.m. ET at Stanford Stadium.
