South Carolina vs. Mississippi State updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the South Carolina vs. Mississippi State football game
Mississippi State haven't yet left their home-field this season, but they'll have to hit the road on Saturday. They will square off against the South Carolina Gamecocks at 7:30 p.m. ET at Williams-Brice Stadium. Mississippi State are expected to lose this one by six points, a fact the team is well aware of.
Last Saturday, Mississippi State took a serious blow against LSU, falling 41-14. It was the first time this season that Mississippi State let down their fans at home.
Nobody from Mississippi State had a standout game, but they still got scores from WR Lideatrick Griffin and TE Antonio Harmon.
The Bulldogs weren't very productive in the air and finished the game with only 107 passing yards. They were dismantled by their opponents in that department as LSU threw for 367.
Meanwhile, South Carolina started off good but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Georgia. They took a 24-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs on Saturday. Sadly, the defeat only continues a disappointing trend for South Carolina: they've now lost four straight matchups with Georgia.
Not only did both Mississippi State and South Carolina lose their last games, neither team covered either. As mentioned previously, South Carolina shouldn't be too worried about this matchup, as the experts have them favored by six points.
Both of these teams will be looking to put their recent losses behind them and walk away with a win. We'll see who turns their luck around and who leaves disappointed once again.
