Live scores, highlights and updates from the SMU vs. Tulane football game
Game Recap
The SMU Mustangs were the big favorite in their most recent game, and for good reason. They blew past the Tulane Green Wave 55-26 on Thursday. That result was just more of the same for SMU, who also won the last time these teams played (Oct. 16 of last year).
The Mustangs' offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 31 points in the first half. Tulane countered with 7 points. The offense for SMU continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 24 points to put the game away.
SMU's QB Tanner Mordecai did his thing and passed for three TDs and 427 yards on 42 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 34 yards. RB Tre Siggers was in the mix, too, providing SMU with two touchdowns.
A silver lining for the Green Wave was the play of QB Michael Pratt, who passed for three TDs and 234 yards on 22 attempts.
The victory bumped the Mustangs' record up to 7-0. Tulane's overall record fell to 1-6.
SMU will square off against the Houston Cougars at 7 p.m. ET next week at TDECU Stadium. Tulane will take on the Cincinnati Bearcats at noon ET next week at home.
