SMU vs. Charlotte updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the SMU vs. Charlotte football game
The SMU Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Charlotte 49ers at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Gerald J. Ford Stadium. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
SMU scored first but ultimately less than TCU in their matchup on Saturday. They received a tough blow as they fell 34-17 to the Horned Frogs.
Nobody from SMU had a standout game, but they still got scores from Camar Wheaton and Tyler Lavine.
Meanwhile, Charlotte has been struggling to pick up a victory, as their matchup against Florida made it three losses in a row. Charlotte took a 22-7 bruising from Florida on Saturday.
The loss dropped SMU back to even at 2-2. Charlotte are on a 3-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.
Not only did both the pair lose their last games, neither team covered either. Looking ahead, the game looks promising for SMU, as the team is favored by a full 23 points. This contest will be Charlotte's third straight as the underdogs (a stretch that saw them go 2-1 against the spread).
