San Jose State vs. New Mexico State Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the San Jose State vs. New Mexico State football game
After a two-game homestand, the New Mexico State Aggies will be on the road. They will take on the San Jose State Spartans at 10:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at CEFCU Stadium. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W.'
The matchup between New Mexico State and the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors last week was not particularly close, with the Aggies falling 41-21.
Meanwhile, SJSU received a tough blow last week as they fell 23-3 to the Western Michigan Broncos.
The SJSU defensive unit accumulated four sacks. Leading the way was DL Viliami Fehoko and his two sacks. Fehoko now has three sacks through four games.
The Aggies have to know they'll be fighting an uphill battle given the 27.50 point spread they are up against. Those burned by picking them against the spread last week might want to keep in mind that the squad has not yet dropped back-to-back games against the spread this season.
The losses put New Mexico State at 1-4 and SJSU at 2-2. A couple stats to keep in the back of your head while watching: New Mexico State is 236th worst in the nation in thrown interceptions, having thrown six on the season. The Spartans have had an even harder time: they are stumbling into the game with the 216th most thrown interceptions in the nation, having thrown five on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
