San Diego State vs. New Mexico State Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the San Diego State vs. New Mexico State football game
Game Recap
The San Diego State Aztecs won the last time they faced the New Mexico State Aggies, and things went their way on Saturday, too. The Aztecs strolled past New Mexico State with points to spare, taking the game 28-10.
San Diego State's RB Greg Bell was one of the most active players for the squad, rushing for one TD and 165 yards on 21 carries. San Diego State's LB Andrew Aleki got in on the action, too, converting a pick in the third quarter into a touchdown.
No one had a standout game offensively for the Aggies, but they got one touchdown from WR Dominic Gicinto.
The victory improved San Diego State's record to 1-0. New Mexico State's loss pushed them down to 0-2.
San Diego State will take on the Arizona Wildcats at 10 p.m. ET next Saturday at Arizona Stadium. Unlike San Diego State, Arizona will be limping in after taking a loss. The Aggies are on the road again next Saturday and play against the New Mexico Lobos at 7 p.m. ET Sept. 11 at Dreamstyle Stadium. If the contest is anything like New Mexico's 55-52 win from their previous meeting in September of 2019, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.
