Rice vs. UAB Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Rice vs. UAB football game
Game Recap
The Rice Owls had a rough go of it last October when they matched up with the UAB Blazers and had to endure more of the same Saturday. Rice was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 21-16 to UAB. That's the fewest points the Owls have scored all year.
UAB QB Tyler Johnston III was slinging it as he passed for two TDs and 216 yards on 18 attempts in addition to picking up 41 yards on the ground. Johnston III's 63-yard touchdown toss to WR Myron Mitchell in the third quarter made for one of the most memorable moments of the afternoon.
No one had a standout game offensively for Rice, but TE Jordan Myers led the way with one touchdown.
Rice's defeat pushed them down to 2-3. The victory bumped UAB's record up to 5-3. With that, the West Division playoffs come to an end.
