Pittsburgh vs. Cincinnati updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Pittsburgh vs. Cincinnati football game
The Cincinnati Bearcats will head out on the road to face off against the Pittsburgh Panthers at 6:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Acrisure Stadium. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more against one another.
Cincinnati took care of business in their home opener on Saturday (and then some). They steamrolled past Eastern Kentucky 66-13 at home. Cincinnati pushed the score to 52-10 by the end of the third, a deficit Eastern Kentucky had nochance of recovering from.
QB Emory Jones had a stellar game as he threw for 345 yards and five touchdowns on 23 attempts. Jones wound up with a passer rating of 280.4. It was a true group effort though, and the team also got help from WR Xzavier Henderson, who scored a touchdown off of 149 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, winning is just a little bit easier when you post 365 more yards than your opponent, a fact Pittsburgh proved on Saturday. Everything went their way against Wofford as they made off with a 45-7 victory. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Pittsburgh had established a 38 point advantage.
Cincinnati will need to dig deep on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. They finished last season with a mediocre 3-10 record against the spread, so bettors beware.
That disadvantage in the odds might be especially worrying for Cincinnati considering the team didn't win a single game as the underdog last year. Betting on them to win was the most profitable play last year, as bettors who put $100 on that outcome in every game walked away with $670.27. On the other hand, Pittsburgh will play as the favorite, and the team was 8-1 as such last season.
