Oregon State vs. UCLA updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Oregon State vs. UCLA football game
The UCLA Bruins will head out on the road to face off against the Oregon State Beavers at 8:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Reser Stadium. UCLA is expected to lose this one by four points, so we'll see if that gives them a bit of motivation.
UCLA was not the first on the board last Saturday, but they got there more often. They walked away with a 25-17 win over Washington State.
UCLA relied on the efforts of Carson Steele, who rushed for 140 yards, and Keegan Jones, who rushed for 45 yards and two touchdowns. Steele also notched 25+ carries for the first time this season. Dante Moore was another key player, having thrown for 290 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, even though California scored an imposing 40 points on Saturday, Oregon State still came out on top. Oregon State took their contest against California 52-40. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Oregon State.
DJ Uiagalelei went supernova for Oregon State, throwing for 275 yards and five touchdowns while completing 76% of his passes. Jack Velling was another key contributor, picking up 38 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Their wins bumped UCLA to 4-1 and Oregon State to 5-1.
Not only did both teams in this Saturday's matchup win their last matches, they also took care of their bettors and covered the spread. Looking ahead, Oregon State is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by four points. Anyone thinking of taking UCLA against the spread should keep this in mind: the team hasn't covered the last three times they've played Oregon State.
Keep an eye on the end zone in Saturday's game as the two teams haven't had much trouble getting there this season. The Bruins know how to score this season, having averaged 4 touchdowns per game. However, it's not like the Beavers struggle in that department as they've been averaging even better at 5.2 per game. It's looking like the end zone's going to be a busy place on Saturday. Check CBS Sports after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more college football content.
