Oregon State vs. Arizona State Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAAF game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Oregon State vs. Arizona State football game
Game Recap
The Arizona State Sun Devils typically have all the answers at home, but on Saturday the Oregon State Beavers proved too difficult a challenge. Oregon State was able to grind out a solid victory over the Sun Devils, winning 24-10. ASU can consider this payback for the 46-33 defeat they dealt the Beavers the last time the teams encountered one another last December.
Oregon State took a little while to warm up, but they followed up a slow three-point first quarter with 14 points in the second. ASU wasn't quite able to keep up, and the score was 17 to nothing heading into the break. Oregon State coasted a bit in the second half, relying primarily on their first half lead, but they still walked away with the win.
Oregon State's RB B.J. Baylor did his thing and picked up 150 yards on the ground on 20 carries. QB Chance Nolan didn't exactly stuff the stat sheet, but finished with two touchdowns.
The Sun Devils' only offensive touchdown came from RB DeaMonte Trayanum.
The victory bumped the Beavers' record up to 7-4. ASU's loss pushed them down to an identical 7-4.
Oregon State will square off against the Oregon Ducks at 3:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at Autzen Stadium. Unlike Oregon State, Oregon will be limping in after taking a loss. The Sun Devils will look to defend their home turf next Saturday against the Arizona Wildcats at 3 p.m. ET. Arizona also suffered a recent defeat, falling 44-18 to the Washington State Cougars on Friday.
