No. 1 -- Who is the starting QB? The battle to replace Darron Thomas remains between freshman Marcus Mariota and sophomore Bryan Bennett. Mariota outplayed Bennett in the spring game, but it was neck-and-neck after the spring's first 14 practices and a lot can happen between now and the first week of August. This is all anyone knows: Mariota looked great in the spring game and Bennett looked legit in a handful of real games last fall. No. 2 -- Who provides depth at RB? Senior Kenjon Barner is a lock to start, and sophomore De'Anthony Thomas will see action all over the field. But who gives Barner a true rest? Best guess it's incoming freshman Byron Marshall unless the Ducks can find a junior college transfer in the coming months. No. 3 -- What's the deal at TE? Sophomore Colt Lyerla, redshirt freshman Christian French, and true freshman Evan Baylis will be joined in the fall by true freshman Pharaoh Brown. All four were either big-time recruits, but only Lyerla has game experience. It's easy to assume Lyerla's a lock to start, but he sat out the spring game for unknown reasons and neither French nor Baylis stood out.
