Ole Miss vs. LSU: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Ole Miss vs. LSU football game
The Ole Miss Rebels will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the LSU Tigers at 6:00 p.m. ET at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium at Hollingsworth Field. While the odds are definitely not in Ole Miss' favor, at least they'll be on their home field in front of their own fans.
After soaring to 48 points the game before, Ole Miss faltered in their game on Saturday. They took a hard 24-10 fall against Alabama. The loss put an end to Ole Miss' undefeated season.
Ole Miss' defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Suntarine Perkins and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, LSU extended their game-winning streak to three on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Arkansas and snuck past 34-31. The overall outcome was to be expected, but LSU made it more of a contest than the oddsmakers had predicted.
Jayden Daniels continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 320 yards and four touchdowns. Daniels wound up with a passer rating of 200.3. Brian Thomas Jr. was another key contributor, picking up 133 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
With Ole Miss' defeat and LSU's win, both teams now sport identical 3-1 records.
While only LSU took care of their fans the last time they played, neither team managed to cover. Looking ahead, the matchup is expected to be close, with LSU going off as just a 2 point favorite. This contest will be their fourth straight as the favorites (a stretch that saw them go 2-2 against the spread).
Ole Miss might still be hurting after the devastating 45-20 loss walloping they got from LSU in their previous matchup last October. In that meeting, Ole Miss got plenty of help from Quinshon Judkins, who rushed for 111 yards and two touchdowns. With a second shot at redemption, will Judkins repeat his dominant outing (and hopefully grab the win this time)? Check CBSSports.com after the match to find out.
