Game Recap
The Florida Atlantic Owls typically have all the answers at home, but on Saturday the Old Dominion Monarchs proved too difficult a challenge. Old Dominion took their game against the Owls 30-16.
RB Blake Watson continued his habit of dropping crazy stat lines, rushing for one TD and 164 yards on 23 carries.
Special teams collected ten points for the Monarchs. K Nick Rice delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.
RB Johnny Ford put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for one TD and 101 yards on 19 carries.
The victory bumped Old Dominion's record up to 4-6. The loss dropped Florida Atlantic back to even at 5-5.
Old Dominion will square off against the Middle Tenn. Blue Raiders at 3:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at Johnny (Red) Floyd Stadium. Like Old Dominion, Middle Tenn. is also coming into the contest bolstered by a recent win. The Owls are staying on the road next Saturday to face off against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers at noon ET Nov. 20 at Houchens-Smith Stadium. WKU has averaged 45 points over the course of their past three games, so Florida Atlantic might be in for a challenge.
