A win for Oklahoma would push their record over .500, and after three quarters of play they've put themselves in a good position to make it happen. They are fully in control with a 44-3 lead over Temple.
If Oklahoma keeps playing like this they'll be starting off their season with a 'W'. On the other hand, Temple will be starting their season off on the wrong foot unless they turn things around (and fast).

The Temple Owls will hit the road to start this year's campaign against the Oklahoma Sooners. Kickoff is scheduled at 7:00 p.m. ET on Friday at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium.
A big factor in this game might be passing yards, as these two were some of the best in the league in that department last year. Temple were ranked 25th in the nation last season, having averaged 266.2 per game. Oklahoma did even better, as they were ranked sixth with an average of 313.8 per game.
Looking back to last season, Temple will look to improve upon their 3-9 record. On the other hand, Oklahoma had a stellar season and finished 10-2.
Temple is the clear underdog, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one. They finished last season with a mediocre 3-9 record against the spread, so bettors beware.
