Oklahoma State vs. Kansas updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Oklahoma State vs. Kansas football game
Game Recap
On Saturday, the Oklahoma State Cowboys turned the game against the Kansas Jayhawks into a track meet and took the gold after outgaining them 534 yards to 143. Oklahoma State claimed a resounding 55-3 win over Kansas at home. Since the Cowboys won the last time these teams met, too, this is only more fuel for the fire driving the Jayhawks' future revenge.
Oklahoma State's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 38 first-half points. Kansas wasn't quite able to keep up, and the score was 38 to nothing heading into the break. The offense for Oklahoma State continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 17 points to put the game away.
Oklahoma State's QB Spencer Sanders did his thing and passed for two TDs and 157 yards on 19 attempts in addition to rushing for one TD and 53 yards. QB Shane Illingworth didn't exactly stuff the stat sheet, but finished with two touchdowns. The game brought the Cowboys to 7-1 and dropped the Jayhawks to a mirror-image 1-7.
Oklahoma State will take on the West Virginia Mountaineers at noon ET next Saturday at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium. With a combined 1,026 yards of offense in their previous games, we can expect a fast-paced contest. Kansas will be playing at home against the Kansas State Wildcats at 1 p.m. ET next Saturday.
