Game Recap
The best player on the turf between the Iowa State Cyclones and the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Saturday ended up on the losing team. Although he couldn't prevent a 24-21 loss to Oklahoma State, RB Breece Hall rushed for one TD and 185 yards on 20 carries. That touchdown -- a 66-yard rush in the third quarter -- was one of the highlights of the matchup.
The Cowboys can attribute much of their success to RB Chuba Hubbard, who rushed for one TD and 139 yards on 25 carries. QB Spencer Sanders had a good game, too, finishing with two touchdowns.
The defeat dropped Iowa State's record to 3-2. The win for Oklahoma State kept them a perfect 4-0.
Iowa State is staying on the road next Saturday to face off against the Kansas Jayhawks at 1 p.m. ET Oct. 31 at Kivisto Field at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium. Kansas' offense will be looking to get out and run against a Kansas squad that has given up 45 points on average this season. The Cowboys will play host again and welcome the Texas Longhorns to Boone Pickens Stadium, where kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET next Saturday. Oklahoma State is heading into an offensive buzzsaw as that team is averaging 45 per game.
