Ohio vs. Western Michigan updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Ohio vs. Western Michigan football game
The Ohio Bobcats will be playing at home against the Western Michigan Broncos at 12:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Frank Solich Field at Peden Stadium. The timing seems to be in Ohio's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Western Michigan has not had much luck on the away from home, with five straight road losses.
The point spread may have favored Ohio last Saturday, but the final result did not. They took a 23-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northern Illinois.
Meanwhile, Western Michigan also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Miami of Ohio by a score of 34-21. That's two games in a row now that Western Michigan has lost by exactly 13 points.
Nobody from Western Michigan had a standout game, but they got scores from Zahir Abdus-Salaam and Hayden Wolff.
Ohio's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2, while Western Michigan's bumped their own down to the opposite: 2-6.
Not only did the two teams lose their last games, but neither team managed to cover the spread. Looking ahead, Ohio is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 16 points. Bettors picking Western Michigan against the spread have some confidence (to put it mildly), as the team is sitting on a three-game streak of failing to cover when playing as the underdogs on the road.
Ohio strolled past Western Michigan when the teams last played back in October of 2022 by a score of 33-14. Will Ohio repeat their success, or does Western Michigan have a better game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
