North Carolina State vs. Clemson: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the NC State vs. Clemson football game
North Carolina State is 1-6 against Clemson since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The North Carolina State Wolfpack will be playing at home against the Clemson Tigers at 2:00 p.m. ET at Carter-Finley Stadium. North Carolina State is expected to lose this one by ten points, so we'll see if that gives them a bit of motivation.
North Carolina State might have drawn first blood against Duke two weeks ago, but it was Duke who got the last laugh. Things couldn't have gone much worse for North Carolina State as they lost 24-3 to Duke. Having soared to a lofty 48 points in the game before, North Carolina State's point total in this one was quite the letdown.
Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 7-7 at halftime, Clemson was not quite Miami (FL)'s equal in the second half on Saturday. Clemson fell 28-20 to Miami (FL). Clemson didn't live up to their potential and found themselves falling short of the advantage oddsmakers thought they had coming into the game.
Jake Briningstool put forth a good effort for the losing side as he picked up 126 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Cade Klubnik also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
The losses dropped both teams to an identical 4-3.
Not only did North Carolina State and Clemson lose their last games, but neither team managed to cover the spread. Going forward, Clemson shouldn't be too worried about this matchup, as the experts have them favored by ten points. This contest will be their fourth straight as the favorites (so far over this stretch they are 1-2 against the spread).
North Carolina State came up short against Clemson in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 30-20. Thankfully for North Carolina State, DJ Uiagalelei (who rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 209 yards and a touchdown) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
