Game Recap
The New Mexico State Aggies had a rough outing against the New Mexico Lobos last week, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. The Aggies walked away with a 43-35 victory over the South Carolina State Bulldogs on Saturday.
The game started off well for New Mexico State, whose offense put up 36 first-half points. South Carolina State wasn't quite able to keep up, and the score was 36-13 heading into the break. Although New Mexico State wound up losing the second-half battle, they still had enough in reserve to win the war.
Finally capturing their first win of the season, New Mexico State advanced to 1-3. South Carolina State's overall record fell to 0-3.
The Aggies have the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors at 8 p.m. ET Sept. 25 at Aggie Memorial Stadium. The Bulldogs can take some time to mend their wounds since their next matchup isn't for a while. They will face the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats at Oliver C. Dawson Bulldog Stadium at 1:30 p.m. ET in two weeks.
