Nevada vs. Wyoming updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Nevada vs. Wyoming football game
3rd Quarter Report
This matchup looks nothing like the tight 37-34 margin from Wyoming's win over Nevada in their previous head-to-head back in October of 2020. Wyoming has a bit of a cushion as they currently lead Nevada 35-6.
Wyoming has yet to find success away from home, so they have something to prove. Victory is within reach; will this be their lucky break?
Preview
The Wyoming Cowboys will head out on the road to face off against the Nevada Wolf Pack at 9:00 p.m. ET on Saturday at Clarence Mackay Stadium. Wyoming is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Saturday, Wyoming took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 42-9 victory over Hawaii. The win was just what Wyoming needed coming off of a 34-14 loss in their prior match.
Andrew Peasley looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 319 yards and three touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of John Michael Gyllenborg, who picked up 128 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Nevada's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 30-20 to Colorado State.
The losing side was boosted by Brendon Lewis, who rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown. Richard Toney Jr. made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Wyoming's win bumped their season record to 7-4 while Nevada's loss dropped theirs to 2-9.
While only Wyoming took care of their fans the last time they played, both teams pleased bettors by covering the spread. Looking forward, Wyoming shouldn't be too worried about this matchup, as the experts have them favored by 11 points. This will be their first time playing as the favorites on the road this season.
