Nevada vs. Fresno State Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Nevada vs. Fresno State football game
The Fresno State Bulldogs and the Nevada Wolf Pack are set to square off in a Mountain West matchup at 10:30 p.m. ET Nov. 19 at Clarence Mackay Stadium. If the nothing to nothing final from the last time they met is any indication, this matchup will be decided by the defense.
Fresno State was able to grind out a solid win over the UNLV Rebels last week, winning 37-30. WR Jalen Moreno-Cropper was the offensive standout of the game for the Bulldogs, catching eight passes for two TDs and 164 yards. Jake Haener's 65-yard touchdown toss to Moreno-Cropper in the fourth quarter made for one of the most memorable moments of the night.
Special teams collected 14 points for Fresno State. K Dylan Lynch delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.
Meanwhile, the night started off rough for Nevada last week, and it ended that way, too. They were dealt a punishing 41-3 loss at the hands of the Boise State Broncos. Nevada was down 38-3 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. QB Shane Illingworth had a memorable game, but not in the way you want to be remembered: he passed for only 123 yards on 30 attempts.
Fresno State is the favorite in this one, with an expected 22.5-point margin of victory. The smart bettors have been the ones to keep their money on Fresno State's opponents whenever they hit the road.
The Bulldogs' victory brought them up to 6-4 while the Wolf Pack's defeat pulled them down to 2-8. A pair of defensive stats to keep an eye on: Fresno State ranks 19th in the nation when it comes to passing touchdowns allowed, with only 11 on the season. Nevada is not quite as good, but they are no chumps, either: they come into the contest boasting the 31st fewest passing touchdowns allowed in the nation at 13.
