Nebraska vs. Purdue updates: Live NCAA Football game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Nebraska vs. Purdue football game
The Nebraska Cornhuskers have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. Nebraska and the Purdue Boilermakers will face off in a Big Ten battle at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday at Tom Osborne Field at Memorial Stadium. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
The Cornhuskers came within a touchdown against the Minnesota Golden Gophers two weeks ago, but they wound up with a 30-23 loss. RB Rahmir Johnson put forth a good effort for the losing side as he punched in two rushing touchdowns.
Meanwhile, it was all tied up 13-13 at halftime, but Purdue was not quite the Wisconsin Badgers' equal in the second half when they met last week. The Boilermakers took a hard 30-13 fall against Wisconsin. Purdue's loss came about despite a quality game from TE Payne Durham, who caught nine passes for one TD and 112 yards.
Nebraska is the favorite in this one, with an expected 7.5-point margin of victory. Now might not be the best time to take Nebraska against the spread since they've let down bettors for the past two consecutive games.
The losses put the Cornhuskers at 3-5 and Purdue at 4-3. Nebraska is 2-2 after losses this season, Purdue 2-0.
