Navy vs. UAB Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Navy vs. UAB football game
Navy will be in front of their home fans on Saturday, but a look at the spread shows they might need that home-field advantage. They will take on the UAB Blazers at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
The point spread may have favored Navy last Saturday, but the final result did not. They received a tough blow as they fell 32-18 to Temple. Navy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Navy's defeat came about despite a quality game from Xavier Arline, who rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 124 yards and a touchdown.
The Midshipmen weren't very productive in the air and finished the game with only 124 passing yards. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Temple passed for 402.
Meanwhile, even though FAU scored an imposing 42 points on Saturday, UAB still came out on top. UAB came out on top in a nail-biter against FAU and snuck past 45-42. The victory was just what UAB needed coming off of a 45-21 defeat in their prior game.
Jacob Zeno went supernova for UAB, throwing for 484 yards and five touchdowns while completing 82.9% of his passes. T.J. Jones did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 93 receiving yards and a touchdown.
UAB's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Michael Fairbanks II and his two sacks.
Temple's win bumped their season record to 3-6 while Navy's defeat dropped theirs to 3-5.
As for their next game, UAB is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by three points. This will be their first time playing as the favorites on the road this season.
