The Middle Tenn. Blue Raiders won the last time they faced the Old Dominion Monarchs, and things went their way on Saturday, too. Middle Tenn. blew past Old Dominion 38-17. This was a must-win matchup for the Blue Raiders as they bounced back from a huge upset against the Rice Owls last week.
Middle Tenn. QB Asher O'Hara did work as he picked up 78 yards on the ground on 14 carries and threw two passing touchdowns. Middle Tenn.'s S Kylan Stribling got in on the action, too, converting a pick in the third quarter into a touchdown.
WR Aaron Moore put forth a good effort for the losing side as he caught 14 passes for 194 yards and one TD. That receiving effort made it the first game that Moore has posted more than 100 yards receiving.
The Blue Raiders will take on the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers at 2 p.m. ET next week at Houchens-Smith Stadium. WKU is also hoping to continue their momentum after a victory on Saturday. As for Old Dominion, they will go up against the Charlotte 49ers at 2 p.m. ET at Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium.
