Missouri vs. Texas A&M Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Missouri vs. Texas A&M football game
The Missouri Tigers need to shore up a defense that is allowing 37.5 points per game before their contest on Saturday. Their homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Texas A&M Aggies at noon ET Oct. 16 at Memorial Stadium at Faurot Field. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Mizzou and A&M will really light up the scoreboard.
The Tigers bagged a 48-35 win over the North Texas Mean Green last week. RB Tyler Badie was a one-man wrecking crew for Mizzou, rushing for two TDs and 217 yards on 17 carries in addition to snatching one receiving TD. Badie put himself on the highlight reel with a 52-yard TD scramble in the second quarter.
Mizzou's defense was a presence as well, as it collected two interceptions and two fumbles. DL Mekhi Wingo picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown.
Meanwhile, A&M's offense rose to the challenge against a Bama defense that boasted an average of only 18.2 points allowed. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 41-38 victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide last week. A&M QB Zach Calzada was slinging it as he passed for three TDs and 285 yards on 31 attempts.
The Aggies' defense was a presence as well, as it got past Bama's offensive line to sack QB Bryce Young four times for a total loss of 26 yards. Leading the way was DL Tyree Johnson and his two sacks. Johnson now has three sacks through six games.
The Tigers are expected to lose this next one by 8.5. They have failed bettors playing the spread in their past four games, so buyers beware.
The wins brought Mizzou up to 3-3 and the Aggies to 4-2. Mizzou is 0-2 after wins this season, A&M 2-1.
