Game Recap

The Missouri Tigers beat the Central Michigan Chippewas 34-24 on Saturday.

Mizzou's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 17 first-half points. CMU was right behind to make the score 17-14 heading into the break. The offense for the Tigers continued to do well in the second half, scoring another 17 points to put the game away.

RB Tyler Badie went supernova for Mizzou as he rushed for one TD and 204 yards on 25 carries in addition to snatching one receiving TD. Badie's longest run was for 69 yards in the fourth quarter. On the defensive end, LB Blaze Alldredge was a one-man blockade for Mizzou with three sacks and nine tackles.

RB Lew Nichols III put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for one TD and 135 yards on 19 carries. The game pushed CMU down to 0-1 and pulled the Tigers up to the reverse at 1-0.

Mizzou will square off against the Kentucky Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at Kroger Field. As for the Chippewas, they will go up against the Robert Morris Colonials at 3 p.m. ET next Saturday at Kelly/Shorts Stadium.
