Mississippi State vs. LSU Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Mississippi State vs. LSU football game
The Mississippi State Bulldogs will look to defend their home field on Saturday against the LSU Tigers at 12:00 p.m. ET at Davis Wade Stadium at Scott Field. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games, so things might heat up even more against one another.
It may have taken the full four quarters to finish the job, but Mississippi State ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They took their game against Arizona 31-24. The win was just business as usual for Mississippi State, who after five games remain undefeated this season.
Mississippi State's win was the culmination of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from RB Jo'quavious Marks, who rushed for 123 yards and punched in a rushing TD. It was a true group effort though, as the team also got help from QB Will Rogers, who threw for 162 yards and three touchdowns on 17 attempts.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led LSU over Grambling in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that LSU blew Grambling out of the water with a 72-10 final score. With that victory, LSU brought their scoring average up to 47 points per game.
QB Jayden Daniels was on fire, as he threw for 269 yards and five touchdowns on 24 attempts. The team also got some help courtesy of RB Logan Diggs, who rushed for 115 yards and punched in a rushing TD.
Mississippi State will need to dig deep on Saturday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. They finished last season with an even 6-6 record against the spread.
Mississippi State ended up a good deal behind LSU when they played in their previous matchup last September, losing 31-16. Will Mississippi State have more luck at home instead of on the road? Watch the contest or check back on CBS Sports to find out.
