Michigan vs. Rutgers Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Saturday's NCAA Football game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Michigan vs. Rutgers football game
The Michigan Wolverines are 6-0 against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights since November of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Wolverines' homestand continues as they prepare to take on RU at 3:30 p.m. ET Sept. 25 at Michigan Stadium. Both teams are strolling into their contest after big wins in their previous games.
When you finish with 393 more yards than your opponent like Michigan did last week, a favorable outcome is almost sure to follow. They put a hurting on the Northern Illinois Huskies at home to the tune of 63-10. With Michigan ahead 35-3 at the half, the matchup was all but over already. Their RB Blake Corum was on fire, rushing for three TDs and 125 yards on 13 carries. One of the most memorable plays of the game was Corum's 51-yard touchdown rush in the third quarter.
Meanwhile, RU took their contest against the Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens last week by a conclusive 45-13 score. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-10.
Michigan is the favorite in this one, with an expected 20.5-point margin of victory. They have been consistent moneymakers against the spread when favored (2-0), so they might be worth a quick bet.
The wins brought both teams up to an identical 3-0. A couple offensive numbers to keep in mind before kickoff: The Wolverines are stumbling into the matchup with the 189th fewest passing yards per game in the nation, having accrued only 164.3 on average. The Scarlet Knights have experienced some struggles of their own as they are 154th worst in the nation in yards per game, with only 351 on average. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
