Only one more quarter stands between Michigan State and the victory they were favored to collect coming into this evening. They have jumped out to a 16-10 lead against FAU.
If Michigan State keeps playing like this they'll be starting off their season with a 'W'. On the other hand, FAU will be starting their season off on the wrong foot unless they turn things around (and fast).

The FAU Owls will start their season against the Michigan State Spartans. Kickoff is scheduled at 7:00 p.m. ET on Friday at Spartan Stadium.
This game could come down to rushing yards, as neither team did well in that area last year. Michigan State were ranked 127th in the nation, having averaged an unimpressive 89.5 per game. FAU, meanwhile, were ranked 110th with 115.4 per game.
Looking back to last season, Michigan State will look to improve upon their 4-8 record. Similarly, FAU finished with a dismal 4-8 also record.
As for their next game, Michigan State is the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by 14 points. They finished last season with an even 6-6 record against the spread.
