MEM vs. TUL updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Memphis vs. Tulane football game
Through 3 Quarters
After a tough loss on the road their last time out, the Memphis Tigers look much better today on their home turf. It's anybody's game after three quarters, but Memphis is ahead of the Tulane Green Wave 26-21.
The Tigers have been riding high on the performance of QB Seth Henigan, who has passed for two TDs and 294 yards on 39 attempts. Tulane has been led by RB Tyjae Spears, who so far has rushed for two TDs and 193 yards on 24 carries.
Tulane has lost 100% of the time when they were down heading into the fourth quarter this season, so this one seems just about wrapped up
Who's Playing

What to Know
The Tulane Green Wave have enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they must head out on the road. Tulane and the Memphis Tigers will face off in an American Athletic battle at 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday at Liberty Bowl Memorial. The Green Wave should still be riding high after a big win, while Memphis will be looking to right the ship.
Tulane ran circles around the South Florida Bulls last week, and the extra yardage (501 yards vs. 297 yards) paid off. Everything went Tulane's way against South Florida as they made off with a 45-14 victory. With Tulane ahead 35-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already. Their RB Tyjae Spears looked sharp as he rushed for two TDs and 111 yards on 13 carries. One of the most memorable plays of the game was Spears' 69-yard touchdown rush in the first quarter. Spears' sharp performance set his single-game rushing touchdown high for the season.
Meanwhile, the contest between the Tigers and the Houston Cougars last Friday was not a total blowout, but with Memphis falling 31-13 on the road, it was darn close to turning into one. QB Seth Henigan wasn't much of a difference maker for Memphis; Henigan threw two interceptions with only 4.52 yards per passing attempt.
Tulane's win brought them up to 2-9 while Memphis' defeat pulled them down to 5-6. Two defensive stats to keep an eye on: The Green Wave are 235th worst in the nation in passing touchdowns allowed, with 25 on the season. The Tigers have had an even harder time: they are stumbling into the matchup with the 210th most passing touchdowns allowed in the nation, having given up 21 on the season. It's possible one of these Achilles' heels will wind up tripping the losing team up.
