The Maryland Terrapins kept a clean sheet against the Howard Bison on Saturday and took the matchup 62 to nothing. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38 to nothing.
The contest brought Maryland to 2-0 and dropped Howard to a mirror-image 0-2.
The Terrapins will take on the Illinois Fighting Illini at 9 p.m. ET next Friday at Memorial Stadium. Unlike Maryland, Illinois will be limping in after taking a loss. As for Howard, they will face off against the Hampton Pirates at noon ET next Saturday at Audi Field. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
