Marshall vs. UAB updates: Live NCAAF game scores, results for Saturday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Marshall vs. UAB football game
Game Recap
If the Marshall Thundering Herd were expecting to get some payback for the 22-13 defeat against the UAB Blazers when they previously met last December, then they were left disappointed. Marshall took a 21-14 hit to the loss column. That's the fewest points they have scored all year.
It was another big night for UAB's RB DeWayne McBride, who rushed for two TDs and 108 yards on 25 carries. The Blazers also got help from TE Gerrit Prince, who showed off his sure hands for 100 receiving yards in the win.
No one had a standout game offensively for Marshall, but they got scores from WR Corey Gammage and WR Jayden Harrison.
Marshall's loss pushed them down to 6-4. UAB's victory brought them up to 7-3.
The Thundering Herd will take on the Charlotte 49ers at 3:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at Jerry Richardson Stadium. Charlotte also suffered a recent defeat, falling 42-32 to the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs on Saturday. As for the Blazers, they will go up against the UTSA Roadrunners at 3:30 p.m. ET next Saturday at Alamodome. UTSA is also hoping to continue their momentum after a 27-17 win over the Southern Miss Golden Eagles on Saturday.
